HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Princess Jasmine

Our little princess is 6 years old today. Unfortunately I'm (Paul) on the Central Coast on Jasmine's special day. I came to down to Sydney earlier than planned to attend the funeral of Jenny Newton. It was a beautiful funeral.

Tomorrow Christine will be getting married to Steve. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather will be good.

I will be returning home on Saturday night and Jasmine will be having her birthday party at McDonalds on Sunday with a heap of kids coming. Should be fun and we don't have to worry about cleaning up!

Matt and Meredith will be visiting for the weekend also. It will be good to catch up with them. They are attending a wedding on the Gold Coast.

A good weekend

We have had a good weekend.

Jazz and I went fishing on Saturday morning at about 7:15am and returned home about 4 hours later. We didn’t catch anything but Jazz had a good time. Jazz always enjoys getting nippers and had some fun when we jumped over the wake of other boats.

In the afternoon Jazz went shopping with Lani and Jenna for a few hours. She was quite tired at the end of the day. James stayed home with me and watched the Sydney Swans thrilling victory in the grand final.

Today the girls went to church and I ripped out the spa bath in the ensuite. It is the beginning of another bathroom renovation and Lani has already started nagging me.

This afternoon I had a swim with Jazz in the pool. A little cool to start with but it wasn’t too bad. Time to start doing some morning swims.

Back to school for the kids tomorrow.

Some very sad news...

Unfortunately we received some very sad and bad news recently.

Jenny Newton (my piano teacher's daughter) died this morning from cancer. She was a beautiful person and will be sadly missed.

My grandmother isn't very well at the moment. She tripped over in her home a couple of days ago while making some prawn sandwiches and broke her leg. Today she had an operation to fix it. Hopefully she will make a speedy recovery. On a positive note, my father and uncle ate the prawns for her so she won't have to worry about them going off.

A visitor, some more renovation and maybe some fishing

Jenna is here for a visit this weekend. We might do some fishing in the morning. Jasmine is really keen. We had a bit of a fish last weekend but the wind mucked things up for us. Despite the lack of success, Jasmine is super keen to give it a go again. James has declined.

We were going to just put new vanity in the main bathroom and repaint the walls but after the success of our ensuite and downstairs toilet renovations, Lani and I have decided to completely do the main bathroom also. The old pinkish spa bath and grey tiles just have to go. I enjoy pulling it all apart because you really make some good progress, unfortunately putting all the new stuff in takes significantly more time.
